In marine and maritime fields, there is an increasing need for engineers able of using advanced computational tools, facing ever-changing regulatory landscapes, managing highly automated production, and understanding the effect of autonomy on ship safety and security.

Furthermore, the engineers are increasingly being challenged by requirements for efficient design of innovative and unconventional vessels, new shipping routes and more stringent environmental regulations.

The objectives of EMJMD SEAS 4.0 programme are to train future engineers and increase their employment competitiveness in the multidisciplinary and global domain of ship design, construction, and management.

EMJMD SEAS4.0 programme couples environmental and legal competencies, knowledge of the economic framework of green and sustainable economy, digitalisation related to the newest needs in the fields of shipbuilding and maritime transport in student-centered education, increasing cultural competencies and life-long learning attitudes.
